BWW Review: UMass' CASANOVA - 'Nothing is Real Here; Everything is Appearance'

There are a few things I have learned about the UMass theatre department this semester. One, they love using the aisles of the theatre to make entrances and exits, two they are extremely fond of nudity (no matter the show), and finally they love modernizing stories. These things are what make me love all of the shows I have seen this semester, and Casanova by Constance Congdon was no exception. (more...)

Photo Flash: Next Week's All New Episode of ABC's SPLASH

On next week's new episode of SPLASH, a masked mystery celebrity diver will take the 10 meter plunge and the four remaining celebrities will dive for a spot in the finale. Each celebrity will select their board height and will be assigned a dive by Dive Master and coach Greg Louganis. The celebrity with the highest score and audience vote will automatically secure a guaranteed place in the finale, while the remaining three celebrities will compete against each other in the first ever three-way dive-off, where two celebrities will move forward and one will be sent home. Also this week, injured celebrity diver Chuy Bravo returns to the pool as Greg's assistant, on TUESDAY, APRIL 30 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on ABC. (more...)

The Media Theatre held its annual fundraising Gala on Saturday evening, February 23. The event is a celebration of the professional music theatre company's mission, with a focus on its patrons, supporters, and advocates. Dave White, of Delaware County Council, introduced the evening with special mention given to the theatre's educational opportunities and The State Street Miracles.
