Off The Lane will host their 2nd Annual Empower Artists Gala on Monday November 8th at 7:30pm ET. The hour-long event will honor Ann Reinking’s legacy through the launch of the Ann Reinking Scholarship Program, with special performances by Tony Nominee and Grammy Award Winner Brenda Braxton (Chicago, DreamGirls, Smokey Joe’s Cafe), and Helen Hayes Award Winner Bianca Marroquin (Chicago, Fosse/Verdon, The Pajama Game, In the Heights), hosted by Ann Reinking Advisory Board member and Golden Globe Nominee, Marilu Henner (Chicago, Taxi, Grease, Over Here!, Getting the Band Back Together).

An unforgettable performance by Kristin Chenoweth topped a star-studded evening Saturday as the Center for the Performing Arts hosted its 6th Annual Songbook Celebration presented by Krieg DeVault. The gala in the elegant Palladium concert hall drew 550 attendees and raised over $600,000 to support the Center's artistic and educational programming. Due to demand, The New Group has announced a second extension for Sam Shepard's Buried Child, now playing through April 3. Originally set to play through March 13, an extension through Sunday, March 27 was recently announced for this limited Off-Broadway engagement. Directed by Scott Elliott, this production features Taissa Farmiga, Ed Harris,Amy Madigan, Larry Pine, Rich Sommer, Paul Sparks and Nat Wolff. The show just opened last night at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street) and BroadwayWorld was there. Check out photos below!

The Mayfield High School class of '71 grad, who attended Cuyahoga Community College and Cleveland State, decided while working as a high school student at Musicarnival, the legendary Cleveland tent theatre, that being a stage manager was her ticket to a life in the theatre.
