Little Theatre of Manchester, one of Connecticut's oldest community theatres still in operation, announced today their upcoming production of the beloved dark comedy Arsenic and Old Lace. The hilarious play, believed to be based on an infamous series of boarding house murders in Windsor, CT, runs now through February 20, 2022 at the National Historic Landmark Cheney Hall located at 177 Hartford Road in Manchester, CT.

Actors Co-op (Ovation Award-Winner 2014 Best Intimate Theatre Musical for 110 in the Shade) presents the second show in its celebratory 25th Silver Anniversary season with the frightfully delightful THE TURN OF THE SCREW by Jeffrey Hatcher from the classic story by Henry James and directed by Robertson Dean (Antigone - A Noise Within).  THE TURN OF THE SCREW previewed on Wednesday, October 12 and Thursday, October 13 at 8pm and opened on Friday, October 14 at 8pm; it runs through Sunday, November 20 at the Actors Co-op Crossley Theatre, 1760 N. Gower St. (on the campus of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood) in Hollywood.

How does the musical black comedy LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS fit into the Cleveland Play House's 100th anniversary theme of paying homage to their history? To find the answer requires going back to May, 1916, when the theatre staged THE DEATH OF TINTAGILES. The avant-garde play starred marionettes created by Helen Haiman Joseph, who created The Puppet Players Theatre at CPH in the mid-1920s.

The event was hosted by Drama League Board Member, Bonnie Comley & Stewart F. Lane (co-owner of The Palace Theater) and moderated by Gabriel Shanks, Executive Director of The Drama League.
