The exuberant cast of BYE BYE BIRDIE will 'spread sunshine all over the place' in this summertime sensation directed by Jenn Thompson. Ms. Thompson's new take on this youthful classic includes two new songs, 'BYE BYE BIRDIE' from the 1963 film and 'A Mother Doesn't Matter Anymore' from the 1995 television presentation along with crisp new dance arrangements by accomplished composer of Broadway, film and television David Krane.  Check out a sneak peek below!

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for the West Coast Premiere of Dividing the Estate, the final play by Pulitzer Prize winner Horton Foote. Directed by Michael Wilson, Dividing the Estate will run Jan. 14 - Feb. 12, 2012 in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for the World Premiere of Some Lovers, a new musical with book and lyrics by Tony and Grammy Award winner Steven Sater and music by Academy and Grammy Award-winning legend Burt Bacharach. Directed by Will Frears with music supervision by Lon Hoyt and choreography by Denis Jones, Some Lovers will run Nov. 26 - Dec. 31 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run Nov. 26 - Dec. 6. The enchanting musical romantic comedy, 'She Loves Me,' with all the grace and spirit that established it as one of the all-time great Broadway classics, will begin Westport Country Playhouse's 80th anniversary season runs through May 8.

From the genius who created the smash hit, 'Rent,' comes 'tick, tick...BOOM!,' a vital American musical about a young artist on the verge in New York City. Westport Country Playhouse, Westport, Connecticut, will stage this lesser-known work by Jonathan Larson, June 23 through July 18. The director is Scott Schwartz, who helmed the original off-Broadway production of 'tick, tick... BOOM!,' winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for outstanding musical.

South Coast Repertory will present The Brand New Kid, a musical lesson in tolerance and acceptance, adapted from Emmy Award-winning author Katie Couric's book, as part of its Theatre for Young Audience (TYA) series. Directed by Shelley Butler, with book by Melanie Marnich, music by Michael Friedman and lyrics by both, The Brand New Kid will run May 29 through June 14 on the Julianne Argyros Stage. Low-priced previews are available May 29 - June 5. Opening day is June 6. Press performance is May 31 at 2:00 p.m. All children who attend the 11:00 a.m. Target Family Performance on Saturday, June 6 will receive a free gift.
