On this day in 1996, film and television star, Sarah Jessica Parker made her big Broadway return as Princess Winnifed in a revival of the fractured fairytale Once Upon A Mattress!

Actress Sarah Jessica Parker is now a publisher, and joins TODAY along with the author of her imprint's first novel: Fatima Farheen Mirza, whose book “A Place for Us” is the story of a traditional Indian-American family in California torn between traditional and modern values. Sarah Jessica Parker stopped by last night's WATCH WHAT HAPPENS LIVE on Bravo and revealed that she would love to do another Broadway musical.

Today in 1996, the first Broadway revival of Once Upon a Mattress opened at the Broadhurst Theatre, where it ran for188 performances. Once Upon a Mattress is a musical comedy with music by Mary Rodgers, lyrics by Marshall Barer and book by Jay Thompson, Dean Fuller, and Marshall Barer. The play was written as an adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale The Princess and the Pea. Once Upon A Mattress marked the Broadway debut of later stage and TV legend Carol Burnett, who originated the role of Princess Winnifred.

'The Today Show' just featured a special segment in which correspondents Jenna Bush Hager and Sara Haines visited Costume World of Pompano Beach, Florida.
