Buzz has been building for the Wizard of Oz all season, thanks in part to the fantastic CBC reality show 'Over the Rainbow', which allowed the Canadian public to vote for the young lady they wanted to portray Dorothy. Held at the 14th Street Playhouse, 173 14th Street in Atlanta, the event will feature cast and crew members of the traveling company. San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders made a visit yesterday to WICKED and posed for a photo with the cast onstage as they took a break from their rehearsal schedule. He recognized Production Stage Manager and SD native Peter Van Dyke and the cast for their national efforts for equality - especially the Fundraising Benefit 'DEFYING INEQUALITY,' that took place at the BIRCH THEATRE on Monday, August 24!
