STAGE TUBE: Mockumentary Promo - Antaeus Company's THE CRUCIBLE

The Antaeus Company, L.A.'s multiple award-winning classical theater Company, has launched an untraditional viral promo for their untraditional staging of Arthur Miller's The Crucible. Starring Crucible co-directors Armin Shimerman ('Quark' onStar Trek: Deep Space Nine, 'Principal Snyder' on Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Geoffrey Wade ('Hot Tooth' on Mad Men), the video takes a comedic mockumentary style look behind the scenes of the production, showing the directors bickering, giving actors line readings and eventually even showering together. Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announces William Shakespeare's Henry VIII, the first professional Chicago production in 400 years since its debut at Shakespeare's Globe in London. Staged by Artistic Director Barbara Gaines in CST's Courtyard Theater April 30-June 16, 2013, Henry VIII features a celebrated Company of artists that includes Gregory Wooddell in the title role and Christina Pumariega as Anne Boleyn. The Acting Company features an ensemble of veteran CST actors which includes Kate Buddeke, David Darlow, Kevin Gudahl, Scott Jaeck, Ora Jones, David Lively and Mike Nussbaum. STAGE TUBE: Unicorn Theatre Announces Extension of MY NAME IS ASHER LEV Through May 19

The powerful and emotional play 'My Name is Asher Lev,' onstage at Unicorn Theatre, has been extended an extra week and will now play through May 19, rather than ending May 12 as originally scheduled. 'With such positive response from the audience, and overwhelming ticket sales, we can't help but extend the run of the show', said Cynthia Levin, Unicorn Theatre Producing Artistic Director.
