On last night's episode of AMERICAN IDOL, America was introduced to Lazaro Arbos of Florida who has suffered from a terrible stutter since the time he was a little boy. Although he struggled to speak to judges Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban, the inspirational 21-year-old blew them away with his rendition of 'Bridge Over Troubled Water.' Currently playing at the La Jolla Playhouse is The Nightingale, by the creative team behind the Tony Award-winning musical Spring Awakening: Steven Sater (book and lyrics) and Duncan Sheik (music). Directed by Tony Award nominee Moises Kaufman (33 Variations, I Am My Own Wife), the production runs July 10 - August 5, 2012 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre. The theatre recently held an open discussion about the color-blind casting of the show, which has gotten attention amoungst the Asian-American community. Siobhan Dillon and Mark Evans, who lead the West End cast in the award-winning Ghost the Musical, have recently recorded their own cover version of Somebody That I Used To Know in celebration of Gotye and Kimbra's original. The original single has reached number one in the top forty charts and is currently number one in the Billboard album charts. Since its release on You Tube last Friday, Dillon and Evans' version has currently been seen by over 14,500 people.
