The Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) today announced its 2020 lineup of narrative and documentary features, shorts, and opening night gala event. The festival will be held from April 1st – 5th 2020.

The most respected female rapper in the Dominican Republic, Melymel, A.K.A. “La mama del Rap” (Rap Mom), is due to drop Dragon Queen on November 2nd with the tastemaker label EMPIRE. It is a powerful nod to female empowerment, with a fresh sound and message that resonates with the Latin trap scene.

YouTube Announces Fall 2018 Slate and 2019 Projects

Today at the Television Critics Association session, YouTube showcased its upcoming Original series and announced renewals for 2018/2019. From ambitious projects and compelling documentaries showcasing YouTube stars, to inventive comedies, bold dramas and live events featuring from some of the biggest names in Hollywood, YouTube continues to offer innovative programming that engages its audience. Since the launch of YouTube Originals in 2015, Original content has been viewed more than 650 million times.

Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece Long Day's Journey Into Night  comes to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts for a limited three-week engagement from Friday, June 8 through Sunday, July 1. Richard Eyre's acclaimed Bristol Old Vic production stars Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons(Brideshead Revisited, Reversal of Fortune,  'The Borgias') and Olivier Award winner and Oscar nominee Lesley Manville(Another Year,  'Harlots,' Phantom Thread). Matthew Beard (The Imitation Game, The Riot Club), Rory Keenan (BBC's 'War & Peace,' 'Peaky Blinders') and Jessica Regan (reprising the role as Cathleen from the 2016 Bristol Old Vic production) round out the ensemble cast.  

Center Theatre Group Artistic Director Michael Ritchie has set the 2016-2017 season at the CTG/Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City.

Known for both her contemporary and Shakespearean work, Taichman will go straight from one off-Bway show to another this year.

Entertain. Illuminate. Educate. As Park City Performing Arts Foundation has transitioned into Park City Institute, its mission has broadened. This season at The Eccles Center illustrates PCI's efforts to not just entertain, but also to educate and to illuminate. PCI sets the tone for a 'thinky' Eccles Center season with Edward Snowden opening the line-up on December 5 (via closed video feed). As always, the season includes an eclectic mix of live dance, music, authors, speakers, family shows, spectacles, up-and-comers and well-established legends.

MIX a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have Limelight Theatre's latest production, The 39 Steps. Adapted from the John Buchan novel by Patrick Barlow, it is best known from the 1935 Alfred Hitchcock film adaptation - Barlow turned the spy thriller into a comedy in 2005 with four actors playing a wide variety of roles. North America's largest showcase of Japanese film and “One of the loopiest… and least predictable of New York's film festivals” (New York Magazine), JAPAN CUTS: The New York Festival of Contemporary Japanese Cinema returns for its eighth annual installment.

The producers of the new musical CHAPLIN have just announced full casting for the production, which will star Rob McClure in the title role, as previously announced. The production will also feature Jim Borstelmann (Alf Reeves), Jenn Colella (Hedda Hopper), Erin Mackey (Oona O'Neill), Michael McCormick (Sennett, McGranery, Emcee), Christiane Noll (Hannah Chaplin), Zachary Unger (Young Charlie, Jackie) and Wayne Alan Wilcox (Sydney Chaplin).

Actors Theatre of Louisville's Artistic Director, Les Waters and Managing Director, Jennifer Bielstein announce the complete schedule of panel discussions during the 36th annual Humana Festival of New American Plays, running now through April 15, 2012. The La Jolla Playhouse presents a new musical about Charlie Chaplin entitled LIMELIGHT: THE STORY OF CHARLIE CHAPLIN. The show will have its world premiere at the Mandell Weiss Theatre beginning September 7 and running through October 17.
