Victor/Victoria Revival

Closing: January 31, 2004

Victor/Victoria - 2004 London Fringe History , Info & More

Bridewell Theatre
Fleet Street near Blackfriars Station London

Based on the film by Blake Edwards and the 1933 German film Viktor und Viktoria

A woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman?! It’s a piece of cake for out-of-work soprano Victoria Grant in this hillarious, fun-filled romp through 1930s Paris. Based on the side-splitting seven-time Oscar-nominated Blake Edwards film and backed by an exhilarating Academy Award®-winning score by the great Henry Mancini, Victor/Victoria is a warm and wildly energetic look at gender perceptions as seen through the eternal battle of the sexes. The classic film comes to the stage with a set of show-stopping numbers that range from the electrifying “Le Jazz Hot,” to the heart-rending “Almost a Love Song,” and “Crazy World.” A comical and touching celebration of the many facets of love, Victor/Victoria has it all! Performed at The Robert G. Reim Theatre in Kirkwood (111 S. Geyer Rd.).
