I had never been to the Dome at Exploration Place, and I want to tell you that seeing Silent Sky in this setting was magical. The breathtaking 180 degree projections, by Jordan Slusher, wrapped around and hugged the actors and the audience, immersing us completely in the world of the play. I've known about Maggie and this play for four years. In fact, when I was at the Utah Shakespeare Festival, the Director of Play Development, I chose this play for one of our development processes. So I was part of this play's development. There have been subsequent workshops, and I didn't know this at the time, but Maggie was inspired to write this play because of Breonna Taylor.

Senior Friendship Centers announces the continuation of its popular monthly authors series, “Joyful Journeys.”

Max Harrison’s production is a beautiful textbook revival that, while leaning into the comic side of the text (translated here by Michael Meyer) accordingly tips into the opposite range of emotional distress. This Miss Julie is funny one second, horrid the immediate next.

From June 27 to July 7, Theater for the New City will present August Strindberg Rep in a production, translated from the Swedish and adapted by Robert Greer, that transplants Strindberg's story to a Long Island country estate in 1925.
