Carolyn Montgomery-Forant Joins 2013 Metrostar Contest Jury; Jay Rogers to Host, Beg. 7/8

Something funny's happening to the 'MetroStar Talent Challenge' this year. Singer-restaurateur Carolyn Montgomery-Forant joins the permanent jury, and the comic actor Jay Rogers hosts the 6th annual edition of the singers contest at the Metropolitan Room. The exciting competition, which has launched the careers of a number of standouts in cabaret, pop and jazz, is accepting applications through July 1. The 2013 'MetroStar Talent Challenge' runs for seven consecutive Mondays, from July 8 through August 19. (more...)

FORBIDDEN BROADWAY Is 'Alive & Kicking'; Returns to NYC this Fall with New Edition; Previews Begin July 24th

After a three-year absence, Gerard Alessandrini's FORBIDDEN BROADWAY returns to the 47th Street Theatre with a brand new edition, FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: ALIVE AND KICKING. The show, which opens Thursday, September 6, will run for a limited engagement through January 6, 2013. Previews begin on July 24th.
