The CAPA Summer Movie Series, the longest-running classic film series in America, has announced the schedule for its 54th series of classic films and cult favorites. The 2023 series will run June 15-July 16 at the historic Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.) and feature 19 films over five weeks.

Since 1934, aspiring performers have come to The Apollo to “Be Good or Be Gone!” On Saturday, March 25 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., The Apollo (253 W. 125th Street) will hold live auditions for its signature program, Amateur Night at The Apollo, the quintessential talent competition and one of the longest-running events in the world.

On Wednesday, February 22, Amateur Night will return to The Apollo with a dynamic new group of artists who will battle it out over the course of 32 shows in front of the theater’s notoriously tough “Be Good or Be Gone!” audience.

The Wick Theatre in Boca Raton will present their fan favorite pick of the year, Evita. This February, the world-famous Apollo Theater will host a series of artistic and community programs celebrating Black History Month.
