Photo Flash: First Look at Concrete Temple's GEPPETTO World Premiere

Concrete Temple Theatre presents the World Premiere of Geppetto, written and directed by Renee Philippi, performed and designed by Carlo Adinolfi, with original music composed by Lewis Flinn (Lysistrata Jones & The Little Dog Laughed on Broadway) performed live by cellist Jeanette Stenson. Geppetto runs from June 13 - 30, 2013 in a limited engagement at HERE, located at 145 6th Avenue (Enter on Dominick, 1 block south of Spring) in New York City. Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch to Return to Bemelmans at The Carlyle Hotel, 6/9

Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch return to Bemelmans at The Carlyle Hotel with their evening of swinging standards on Sunday, June 9, then running every Sunday in June, from 9pm - 12 midnight. The two performers, who have performed extensively on their own, gained national exposure together as the host and musical director of the wildly popular open mic, Cast Party, which celebrates talent every Monday at Birdland in NYC, and tours nationally. During their November run at Bemelmans, the duo received critical acclaim, and made news when rock legend Bono joined them in an impromptu performance. In their upcoming Carlyle run, Caruso and Stritch will be joined by bassist Steve Doyle. (more...)


Jackie Hoffman & John Epperson Set to Lead ONCE UPON A MATTRESS Benefit for Transport Group, 6/17

Transport Group, the Drama Desk, Outer Critics' Circle, and OBIE award-winning theatre company, has announced that it will present a one-night-only, all-star concert of the acclaimed 1959 classic Broadway musical Once Upon A Mattress on Monday, June 17 at 7pm at the Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre in the Pershing Square Signature Center, 480 West 42 Street. Jackie Hoffman will star as Princess Winnifred with John 'Lypsinka' Epperson as The Queen Aggravain, and the evening will be directed by five-time Drama Desk nominee, Jack Cummings III. Composer Mary Rodgers will take part in a post-show discussion with the audience. Further casting will be announced at a later date. The benefit concert for Transport Group is co-produced by John Epperson. (more...)

Telemundo's LA VOZ KIDS Keeps Growing, Draws 1.8 Million Viewers

Last night's broadcast of Telemundo Media's, "La Voz Kids", averaged 1,814,000 total viewers, up +8% versus last week and 921,000 adults 18 to 49, up 4% versus last week, according to Nielsen. Starting Sunday, May 26th, the singing competition, hosted by TV personality Daisy Fuentes and entertainment host Jorge Bernal, and featuring expert celebrity music coaches Paulina Rubio, Prince Royce and Roberto Tapia, moves to 8pm ET. Featuring kids between the ages of seven and 14, "La Voz Kids" continues to grow in its third week on the air, increasing 7% in total audience and 5% adults 18-49 versus premiere. (more...)

Model Erin Wasson Joins Rihanna's STYLED TO ROCK

Style Media announced today that model, actress and designer Erin Wasson will serve as the second mentor on 'Styled to Rock,' the new reality competition series from executive producer Robyn Rihanna Fenty that searches for the next trendsetting designer. Wasson joins previously announced mentor Pharrell Williams to guide 12 up-and-coming designers as they embark on the opportunity of a lifetime-to dress some of the biggest names in entertainment.
