Jackie Hoffman, currently appearing on Broadway as Grandma Addams in The Addams Family, and Elizabeth Hagstedt, who appeared as Mrs. Lovett, Pirelli and the Beggar Woman in the national tour of John Doyle's production of Sweeney Todd, are among the cast of The RAs, a new web drama about a group of juniors at a performing arts college who come of age in 1999. Shami Chaikin of Famed Chaikin Family, Gets Critically Injured in Motor Accident

According to a report in the New York Post, off-Broadway star Shami Chaikin, sister of the late, famed director Joseph Chaikin, was critically injured in Greenwich Village on Bleeker Street and 8th Avenue yesterday morning when a garbage truck hit her on her mobility scooter. Chaikin, 78, who had been riding in the bicycle lane underwent surgery at St. Vincent's hospital and remains in critical condition. (more...)

Commissioned by The Flea in 2006, the piece marks Swados return to The Flea, where she previously wrote, composed and directed the long-running hit JABU. Met Museum to Display Rylands Haggadah, 14th Century Hebrew Manuscript

An illustrated 14th-century Catalonian haggadah from the collection of the John Rylands University Library of Manchester, England, will be displayed in the Gallery for Western European Art from 1050 to 1300 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art beginning March 27. A haggadah is the book used at the Passover seder, the ritual meal that commemorates the exodus of the ancient Israelites from Egypt. Works of art from the Museum's own collection, made for Christian use, but depicting the saga of the Hebrew people, will suggest the larger, medieval context of biblical storytelling in which The Haggadah was created.
