York Theatre Company celebrating the legendary librettist and lyricist Tom Jones with Musicals in Mufti: The Tom Jones Festival, concludes the spring series with the New York premiere of The Game of Love, with book and lyrics by Tom Jones, music by classical composer Jacques Offenbach, and arrangements & additional music by Nancy Ford. Shakespeare Theatre of NJ Kicks Off 50th Season with HENRY IV, PART ONE, 5/30-6/24

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey will launch its 2012 milestone 50th Anniversary season with William Shakespeare’s saga of a young prince’s reformation and ascent to manhood – Henry IV, Part One. Considered one of Shakespeare’s most popular history plays, this rousing tale has not been produced on The Shakespeare Theatre stage in 20 years. Henry IV, Part One begins performances on May 30 and runs through June 24 at the Theatre’s Main Stage – the F. M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre. All tickets, including discounted ticket packages are now on sale. For tickets or for more information, call the box office at 973-408-5600 or visit www.ShakespeareNJ.org. The F.M. Tony nominee Norm Lewis, currently starring on Broadway as Porgy in The Gershwins’ PORGY AND BESS, will join the legendary walls of Sardi’s (234 West 44th Street) when his caricature is unveiled and hung on Wednesday, May 30th at 5:00pm during a special ceremony. His portrait will be join the hundreds of Broadway and Hollywood celebrities, including his co-star and fellow 2012 Tony nominee Audra McDonald, as well as co-star David Alan Grier also Tony-nominated for his performance in The Gershwins’ PORGY AND BESS.
