THE ROYAL FAMILY Extends Run Thru 12/13by BWW News Desk - November 29, 2009Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have announced that due to popular demand, the Manhattan Theatre Club production of George S. Kaufman's and Edna Ferber's The Royal Family has been extended an additional two weeks at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. This marks the second extension for the production, which is directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes (Doubt, Mauritius). Tickets are now on sale through Sunday, December 13. (more...)

Tony Roberts Returns to The Royal Family Tonightby BWW News Desk - October 8, 2009Tony Roberts, aged 69, 'took ill' on stage during this past Sunday's matinee of The Royal Family, resulting in the curtain coming down and the cancellation of the rest of the performance. An ambulance was called and Roberts has brought to the hospital, with no further word on his condition at the time. The actor was taken to St. Luke's-Roosevelt the last update was that Roberts was in stable condition. (more...)
