Mamma Mia! is back on Broadway! As we celebrate the homecoming of this iconic Broadway staple, we're taking a look back on some of the notable stars who have appeared in various productions of Mamma Mia! around the world!

'Crossing The River', a discussion featuring interfaith leaders led by Reverend Susan Turchin, and 'The Power of the Voice', a discussion with innovative contemporary theater composers hosted by Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812's Dave Malloy, will be offered as free post-performance events following upcoming performances of Prospect Theater Company's world premiere of TAMAR OF THE RIVER. Prospect Theater Company will present the world premiere production of TAMAR OF THE RIVER, a new music theater work with music and book by Marisa Michelson and book and lyrics by Joshua H. Cohen. Directed by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell) and choreographed by Yin Mei, TAMAR OF THE RIVER will be the first production available through Prospect's new Membership Program.

Two-time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz will join Katie Holmes on Broadway this fall in DEAD ACCOUNTS, the new comedy by Theresa Rebeck, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien. This limited engagement of DEAD ACCOUNTS, produced by Jeffrey Finn, John N. Hart Jr., David Mirvish, and The Shubert Organization, will begin previews on Saturday, November 3 and open Wednesday, November 28 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).

KATIE HOLMES will star in Theresa Rebeck's new play, DEAD ACCOUNTS, a five character comedy, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien. The play will open on Broadway this fall at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street) produced by Jeffrey Finn.

According to an Equity casting notice, Kathie Lee Gifford, David Friedman and David Pomeranz new musical, THE AIMEE PROJECT will open on Broadway sometime this fall at a theater to be announced. According to the notice, David Armstrong will helm, alongside Joel Fram as the musical director and Lorin Latarro as the choreographer. Rehearsals are listed as beginning in September of 2012.

Wililam Shatner's SHATNER'S WORLD: WE JUST LIVE IN IT opens today, February 14, and will play through March 4 at the Music Box Theater on Broadway before embarking on a national tour. A statement from the producers said: 'The two-hour show will take audiences on a voyage through Shatner's life and career, from Shakespearean stage actor to internationally known icon and raconteur.'

Michael Riedel reports in today's New York Post that William Shatner is headed to Broadway in early 2012 with a 2-3 week engagement of SHATNER'S WORD: WE JUST LIVE IN IT which will play for 2-3 weeks at the Music Box Theater on Broadway. The show will be a temporary booking at the theatre, which is currently home to PRIVATE LIVES, which just moved up its closing to December 31.

Yesterday Kathie Lee Gifford, the co-host of the fourth hour of NBC's 'Today Show' performed the Patsy Kline classic 'Stop Look and Listen' with the cast of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the Broadway musical sensation.

CHESS opened at the Signature Theatre on August 10 and will run through September 26. The cast is lead by Jill Paice (Curtains, The 39 Steps) as Florence Vassy, Euan Morton (Boy George in Taboo, Sondheim on Sondheim) as Anatoly Sergievsky and Jeremy Kushnier (Footloose, Rent) as Freddie Trumper. The rock musical is directed by Signature's Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer. Written by Mamma Mia! composers Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson with Evita and Lion King lyricist Tim Rice, the 1984 cult musical of Cold War competition in love and chess is being given its first major Washington area production. Chess is being performed in the fabulous intimacy of the 276-seat MAX Theatre.
