Colman Domingo and Forrest McClendon Join THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS in Londonby BWW News Desk - May 10, 2013The Young Vic and Catherine Schreiber announced today that Colman Domingo and Forrest McClendon, stars of the original Broadway production, join the UK premiere of The Scottsboro Boys, directed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman. Colman played Private Harold Green in Steven Spielberg's multi-award winning epic Lincoln, and reprises his Tony Award nominated role of Mr. Bones, alongside fellow nominee Forrest McClendon who plays Mr. Tambo. Also joining the Young Vic cast fresh from Broadway are Christian Dante-White (Charles Weems) and Clinton Roane (Roy Wright). The distinctive design of the medallion expresses gratitude to the defenders of our freedoms, while acknowledging the hope for a world at peace. The medallion has been presented to many dignitaries, public figures, and members of our military in honor of their efforts to improve the lives of our veterans, and their commitment towards world peace. The first recipient was Wayne Newton* for his dedication to our troops and veterans through his extraordinary work with the USO. As New York City's longest running comedic act, which in the past has hosted comedians such as Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, and Robin Williams among others, the actors of Chicago City Limits recount today's hard news through a series of hilariously relevant satirical sketches. In 2008 and 2009 the troupe was bestowed the MAC Award for Best Comedy/Improv Group by The Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs.
