For the past ten years, Jim Caruso's Cast Party at Birdland has been the ultimate place for Broadway folks to mingle and celebrate each other, as evidenced by Monday night's jammed-to-the-walls open-mic-fest. The cast of The Mystery of Edwin Drood staged a Reunion, with Tony nominee Stephanie J. Block,Bobby Creighton, Andy Karl, Jessie Mueller, and Betsy Wolfe all grabbing the mic separately and together with a live performance of their YouTube hit, 'Bustle Fluffah!' Drood composer/writer Rupert Holmes then surprised everyone by singing his #1 hit, 'The Pina Colada Song!' (Lucky audience members won the new Drood cast recording, too.) The Second City Celebrates Playwrights Theatre Club's 60th Anniversary

The Second City will host a free event celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Playwrights Theatre Club on Sunday, June 23, 2013 in UP Comedy Club (230 W. North Ave, 2nd Floor of Piper's Alley) at 3:00 p.m. This special event will reunite the original members of The Playwrights Theatre Club, which was the precursor to The Compass and The Second City. In primetime, Oxygen ranked as the #1 cable network among women 18-49 and women 18-34, out delivering CBS. Furthermore, 'Bad Girls Club' and 'Bad Girls All Star Battle' were the #1 and #2 cable telecasts of the day among women 18-49 and women 18-34. Composer David Schwartz to Return for ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT Netflix Series

Composer David Schwartz (Deadwood, Northern Exposure), who composed the music for the entire series, is back for a fourth season, and a movie to follow. Season Finale of Bravo's MARRIED TO MEDICINE Scores 1.5 Million Viewers

Season one of Bravo Media's 'Married to Medicine' delivered over 1 million A18-49 and 1.8 million total viewers, making it the network's highest-rated non-franchise/non-spin-off freshman series since 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy' (Summer 2003- Spring 2004) among all key demos. Last night's season finale (9pm-11pm) earned over 1.5 million total viewers, up 28 percent from prior week (5/12/13), according to Nielsen. (more...)

BAD GIRLS CLUB Hits Season High on Oxygen

Oxygen Media delivered record ratings on Tuesday scoring the #1 cable telecast of the day among women 18-34 with “Bad Girls Club' Atlanta and earned double digit growth with “Find Me My Man,” according to Nielsen. Part two of the three part Reunion for “Bad Girls Club” Atlanta delivered 1.5 million total viewers, earning a season high among all key demos. In the 8pm hour, Oxygen was also the #1 cable network among women 18-49 and women 18-34, out delivering ABC. The fan-favorite series also dominated the conversation online becoming the most tweeted about series on broadcast and cable for the night with nearly 280,000 tweets, according to SocialGuide. Adding to the night's success, “Find Me My Man” earned 615,000 total viewers, up 41 percent among women 18-49, 45 percent with adults 18-49 and up 36 percent with total viewers, compared to last week.
