RAIN to Play Final Performance on Broadway 7/31

The 2011 Drama Desk Award winning production of Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles on Broadway will play its final performance on Broadway Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W 47th St) after 8 previews and 300 regular performances, as the company heads to South Africa to bring the music of the Beatles to Johannesburg. After opening October 26, 2010 at the Neil Simon theatre for an 13 week limited engagement, RAIN recouped its initial $2 million investment in just seven weeks. The show re-opened by popular demand at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on February 8, 2011, grossed $8.75 million, and has been igniting crowds nightly ever since. (more...)

RAIN cast members Steve Landes, Joey Curatolo, Joe Bithorn and Ralph Castelli honored The Actor's Fund in a special performance last night, March 27. Proceeds from the added performance got directly to The Actor's Fun to aid entertainment people in need. The Actors Fund is a nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment. The Fund is a safety net, providing programs and services for those who are in need, crisis or transition. (more...)

After a breif hiatus, ROCK OF AGES re-opened at the Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway last night, March 24. The five-time Tony Award nominated musical played its final performance at The Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Sunday, January 9, 2011. The production moved houses to make way for RAIN, which had to vacate it's home at the Neil Simon Theatre to accommodate Catch Me If You Can. New Block of RAIN Tickets Available; Booking Through January 2012!

The producers of RAIN - A Tribute to The Beatles On Broadway announced today that a new block of tickets is now on sale for the hit show, currently playing at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street). Tickets for RAIN range from $25 - $120 (including a $1.50 facility fee) and can be purchased by visiting the Brooks Atkinson box office (256 W 47th St), online at www.Ticketmaster.com, or calling 877-250-2929. The performance schedule is as follows: Tuesday at 7PM; Wednesday through Saturday at 8PM with a 2pm matinee on Wednesday and Saturday; Sunday at 3PM. Although RAIN is an open-ended engagement on Broadway, tickets are now on sale through January 1, 2012. (more...)

RAIN Recoups Initial Investment on Broadway; Adds Holiday Shows

The producers of RAIN - A Tribute to The Beatles On Broadway announced today that it has recouped its initial investment of $2 million in seven weeks. Additionally, due to overwhelming demand RAIN has added three special holiday performances on Tuesday, December 28th at 2pm, Friday, December 31st at 2pm and Saturday, January 1st at 2pm. RAIN, which opened on October 26, 2010 at the Neil Simon Theatre will play its final performance there on January 15, 2010 before reopening at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W. 47th Street) on February 8, 2011.
