Philadelphia Theatre Company announces that Mary Birdsong, Aisha de Haas, Kate Flannery, Ashley Austin Morris, andJoyce Van Patten will appear in the Philadelphia cast of Love, Loss, and What I Wore on June 25-July 7 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre. This intimate collection of stories by sisters Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron and directed by Karen Carpenter is based on the best-selling book by Ilene Beckerman. Like the popular book, the show uses clothing, accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories to which all women can relate. This production is presented by special arrangement with producer Daryl Roth. (more...)

Destination America's Latest Series LAST CALL FOOD BRAWL to Debut 6/10

It's the perfect recipe for a night cap: one part hungry bar-goers, two parts finger-lickin' food, a dash of great everyday cooks, with a Golden Fry Basket to garnish. It all adds up to a mouth-watering plateful of Destination America's newest competition series, LAST CALL FOOD BRAWL, hosted by Adam Gertler, a runner-up for Next Food Network Star and all-around food enthusiast. Each episode visits a different American city to challenge four cooks, hailing from 24-hour diners to mom and pop eateries, in a cook-off to determine who will be crowned the king or queen of late night bites. The food brawls attract a raucous audience hungry for munchies that are salty and sweet, like deep fried bacon chili cheeseburger and peanut butter s'more french toast. LAST CALL FOOD BRAWL heads to some of the biggest late night cities in the U.S. to indulge in each town's local flavor, including New Orleans, Austin, Memphis, Nashville and Atlanta. CA Chief Justice Gives Address on Current State of Judiciary, 6/4

The Beverly Hills Bar Association (BHBA), in association with the Beverly Hills Bar Foundation and the Law Guild of Beverly Hills, hosts the 59th Annual Supreme Court Luncheon honoring the California Supreme Court on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, 11:30 a.m., at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye is attending and is providing remarks on the current state of the Judiciary. This is her third appearance at the BHBA's perennial luncheon since becoming Chief Justice in 2011. Unlike previous years, the Supreme Court Associate Justices will not be in attendance. Due to fiscal constraints caused by the state's budget cuts, this year the Court is not holding its usual June oral argument session in Los Angeles, around which the BHBA Supreme Court Luncheon has always been slated, but, instead, will remain in San Francisco, where the court normally convenes.
