2012 Tribeca Film Festival Announces World Narrative And Documentary Competition Selections by Movies News Desk - Mar 6, 2012The 2012 Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by American Express®, today announced the World Narrative and Documentary Competition film selections, along with selections for the out-of-competition Viewpoints section-the program established last year that highlights personal stories in international and independent cinema. Diana Landis Appointed Director of LA Children's Chorus' Apprentice Choirby BWW News Desk - Jul 20, 2012Diana Landis, a noted conductor and music educator, has been appointed director of Los Angeles Children's Chorus' (LACC) Apprentice Choir. LACC Artistic Director Anne Tomlinson announced her appointment, which marks Landis' return to the chorus after a 10-year absence during which time she taught music in various capacities in Orange County. Met Museum Presents Efterklang & the Wordless Music Orchestra, 9/22by BWW News Desk - Aug 7, 2012Danish band Efterklang (translation: 'remembrance' and/or 'reverberation') plays the music from its new album Piramida (release date September 25). For this collaboration with the 16-member Wordless Music Orchestra and guest conductor Matthew Coorey, Efterklang has engaged composers Missy Mazzoli, Karsten Fundal, and Daníel Bjarnason to create arrangements of the music of Piramida for the ensemble with orchestra.
