World's Largest Kaleidoscope on Display in Salem, Oregonby BWW News Desk - May 9, 2013All eyes are on A.C. Gilbert's Discovery Village, Salem's museum for kids, as the museum becomes home to an intriguing piece of artwork called Eye Euphoria. Considered the first of its kind in the world, this oversized stained glass Kaleidoscope is now on display in the lobby of the Gilbert House, one of the Village's three historic houses. Created by the late artist Donald Ferris of Woodland, Washington, Eye Euphoria took more than 2,500 hours to craft using authentic leaded glass and three window layers with adjustable spin and rotation speed.
