New Musical BRAVE NEW WORLD Holds Pre-Broadway Workshop Reading Today

Today, May 3rd at 12 noon, Brave New World Enterprises, LLC will present a Special Pre-Broadway Workshop Table Reading of the new musical based on Aldous Huxley's novel, BRAVE NEW WORLD. On tomorrow night's season finale of The Middle, titled 'The Graduation,' as graduation day approaches, tension begins to build between Frankie and Axl when he ignores her requests for answers about the graduation party she's planning for his special day. Meanwhile, Sue hopes that the sixth time's the charm as she once again attempts to pass her driver's test; and during his final days of Elementary school, a forgetful Brick is reminded by Vice Principal Dunlap (Marion Ross) that he's the class historian and is responsible for putting together a slideshow highlighting the last four years of school for the school assembly, on WEDNESDAY, MAY 22 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET). Bruce Boxleitner Joins Hallmark's DEBBIE MACOMBER'S CEDAR COVE

Hallmark Channel announces Bruce Boxleitner ('TRON,' 'Babylon 5,' 'Scarecrow and Mrs. King') has been cast as a series regular in Hallmark Channel's first-ever primetime series, 'Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove.' The two-hour drama is set to premiere Saturday, July 20 (8 p.m. ET/PT, 7C), with Boxleitner joining the cast regularly as Bob Beldon, owner of the local Cedar Cove Inn, Thyme and Tide. (more...)

According to The New York Times, the Brooklyn Academy of Music will announce its 2013 Next Wave Festival lineup tomorrow, May 21. The festival will feature 34 productions in dance, music theater and opera and runs September 17-December 22, 2013. Fiona Shaw will star in The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, directed by Phyllida Shaw. Cape May Stage Opens its 25th Anniversary Season 5/17 With HOW TO MAKE A ROPE SWING

Cape May Stage will present the world premiere of New Jersey playwright Shawn Fisher's How to Make a Rope Swing: the inaugural production of the Equity theatre's 25th anniversary season. Directed by Emmy nominee Roy Steinberg, How to Make a Rope Swing, is a dramatic story about long-buried secrets in a Jersey Shore town, and will feature guest performers Lynn Cohen and Barry Phillips along with Ben Rosenblatt.
