Laura Benanti is in for a busy Tony weekend. The popular performer will join Tituss Burgess to co-host “The Tony Awards: Act One,” a live pre-show, which will include the presentation of the first round of this year’s Tony Awards, airing free on Pluto TV.

The Kurt Weill Foundation for Music announced Lila Chrisp as the First Prize winner of the Lenya Competition, taking home $25,000. Claire Griffin and Ilanna Starr each received $20,000 Second Prizes.

Internationally celebrated singer-songwriter, pianist, Broadway veteran, and recording artist Johnny Rodgers has just been announced as part of the lineup to Skokie Theatre's weekend long tribute to the former cabaret nightclub Remembering Davenport's.

The new musical Goddess can currently be seen in its New York premiere production at the Public Theater on Lafayette Street. Directed by the Public’s associate artistic director and resident director Saheem Ali, who is currently Tony Award-nominated for directing Buena Vista Social Club, Goddess is playing at the Public’s largest space by capacity, the Newman Theatre.
