FAIRFIELD, Conn. - 'The Beach: A Novel' (published by iUniverse) tells of the conflicts and disappointments, triumphs and joys, of three generations of characters against the background of an amusement park during the summer of 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio. The setting is the former Euclid Beach Park, and the Beach's roller skating rink forms the backdrop of the coming of age of two teenagers, Peter Skrak and Penny Hathaway.

Classic LOONEY TUNES Return to Boomerang Network Today

The greatest franchise in theatrical animated shorts is returning to Boomerang this October, having last appeared on the 24-hour classic animation network in May 2007. Warner Bros. immortal LOONEY TUNES-featuring legendary icons Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Roadrunner & Wile E. Coyote and others-will begin airing as a one-hour block on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 7 a.m. (ET) starting today, Oct. 5.

Louis Armstrong House Museum is celebrating Jazz Appreciation month in style this April. 85 years ago, Louis Armstrong recorded one of his all-time masterpieces, 'West End Blues,' one of the most important records in jazz history. For Jazz Appreciation Month, the Museum's historic house tours will feature an ultra rare recording of Louis Armstrong performing 'West End Blues' live at Freedomland in 1961. This performance was recently donated to the Museum's Archives by the son of Freedomland sound engineer Peter Denis. Previously unissued and not in any discographies, it will be featured only during Jazz Appreciation Month! This recording compliments the Museum's current exhibit, Louis Armstrong at Freedomland that closes April 30, 2012.
