Performance Schedule Announced for sound scape at the Brickby BWW News Desk - May 10, 2013In the modern theater, unsung artists called Sound Designers are quietly engaged to flesh out theatrical productions with recordings of crickets, doorbells and phone rings. They fill your Tempests with winds, your Streetcars with street noise and your Vanyas with gunshots. They mix your incidental music with your offstage voices and invisibly support the director's vision. If they're doing their job correctly, you won't even notice their contribution. (more...)

BWW Blog: Tory Ross of KINKY BOOTS - The Making of a Price and Son Shoe: Part Threeby Guest Blogger: Tory Ross - Mar 2, 2013Okay, how many of you were waiting with baited breath to see what happens to a shoe after the leather is moulded into its' shoe shape? 100s of you? 1000s?! For me, A shoe really becomes a shoe at the machine of Eric Anderson, who plays Mutt Johnston. He's the one who puts the sole on the bottom of it. Eric/Mutt takes his job very seriously. He's at that machine all day and all night pretending to put soles on shoes. If anyone could actually apply for a job at a shoe factory after doing this musical, Eric would nail it. He would literally nail it. (more...)
Ugly 'Beautiful Sisters' -- Les Belles Soeursby Daniel Collins - Mar 18, 2013Germaine has won a million S&H stamps. Her sisters and her neighbors rally to help her paste them into booklets...when they're not stuffing them in their purses. It's greed, hypocrisy, and a flurry of back-and-front stabbing comments in Michel Tremblay's 'Les Belles Soeurs' (The Sisters-in-Law) now at the Fells Point Corner Theatre in Baltimore City. Glee-Cap: Sadie Hawkins.by Robert Lawlor - Jan 24, 2013Happy New Year, Gleeks. ..Wait, what do you mean it's almost February? Please, it's totally still a new year, and with a new year comes - NEW GLEE! Are you psyched, Gleeks!? Tonight, its ladies choice - Sadie Hawkins hits McKinley High, and it's time for all the single ladies to grab a guy and cut a rug with the boy of their choice.
Tina brings up the idea of a Sadie Hawkins dance to the student council, but President Blaine isn't sold on it, but he's out voted by his own inner council. Sam is convinced the Warblers cheated at Sectionals, and keeps presenting theories to Blaine, even if Blaine is completely unsold on the idea. Kurt begins at NYADA and find it's pretty much exactly like high school, and finds himself drawn to a show choir (you can take the boy of New Directions, but you can't take the New Directions out of the boy), but Rachel tries to deter him due to their lack of status among the performing arts social status of NYADA.
