Labyrinth Theater Company has announced final casting for the World Premiere Production of The Atmosphere of Memory by David Bar Katz. Performances begin Saturday, October 15th with Opening Night scheduled for October 30th at Labyrinth's new home, the Bank Street Theater for a limited engagement through Sunday, November 13th. The indie kids band Billy Kelly and The Blahblahblahs will perform at The Jewish Museum on Sunday, October 21 at 2:00 pm. The show features sing-a-longs, dance-a-longs, guessing games, comedy, and a touch of story telling, with music ranging from rock and country to ragtime and ska. Kelly's catchy songs are backed by oversized props, dancing characters and his sock puppet manager Digby. (more...)

Eugene O'Neill Theater Center Announces Rachel Jett as Interim Artistic Director of the NTI

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announced today that Rachel Jett will take the reins of its undergraduate training program, the National Theater Institute (NTI) effective January 1, 2012, replacing Jeff Janisheski, who has led the program as Artistic Director since summer 2008. A national search for a permanent replacement will be conducted in spring 2012, to be completed in early summer. (more...)
