A CHRISTMAS STORY to Open on Broadway This Holiday Season!by BWW News Desk - May 25, 2012According to an Equity casting notice, A Christmas Story, The Musical!, which toured the US last year, will land on Broadway this holiday season, playing November 6- Decmber 30. The production, which begins rehearsals in October, will be directed by John Rando, music direction by Ian Eisendrath and choreography by Warren Carlyle. The prize commemorates George and Ira Gershwin, the legendary American songwriting team whose extensive collection resides in the Library of Congress.

RECAPITULANDO: Estreno de 'SMASH' en Españaby Fernando Solla Rosell - May 14, 2012Estamos de enhorabuena. Al fin podemos disfrutar de Smash en nuestro país. El canal de pago AXN White sirve de plataforma para el lanzamiento español de la serie, estrenada en la NBC el pasado 6 de febrero con una audiencia superior a los 11 millones de espectadores en su primer capítulo. Se trata de una producción de DreamWorks Television (con el mismísimo Steven Spielberg al mando) creada por Theresa Rebeck y con canciones, especialmente compuestas para la ocasión por Marc Shaiman y Scott Whitman. A día de hoy, en que se emite el último capítulo de la primera temporada en Estados Unidos, sabemos que hay renovación para una segunda. The commissioned musical has a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife, Creditors), lyrics by Amanda Green (High Fidelity), music by Trey Anastasio (lead singer of the popular band Phish) and Amanda Green, with direction by Neil Pepe (Speed-the-Plow) and musical staging by Benjamin Millepied (BLACK SWAN).
