Joe's Pub at The Public welcomes world premieres, highly-anticipated debuts and the return of many esteemed performers this May and June. Erin Markey returns to Joe's Pub tonight, March 15. Known for her dark wit and absurdist transformations, Markey has been likened to Kristen Wiig, Kathy Acker and Eileen Brennan. Erin weaves together an exciting bill of R&B, 90's pop and grunge, standards and original music under the direction of Ben Rimalower (Leslie Kritzer is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches) with musical direction by Tony-nominated Kenny Mellman (Kiki and Herb). Erbe, Glover, Cerveris & More Star in Lincoln Center's NIKOLAI AND THE OTHERS, Beg. Tonight

Lincoln Center Theater previously announced that Betsy Aidem, Blair Brown, Michael Cerveris, Anthony Cochrane, Lauren Culpepper, Alvin Epstein, Kathryn Erbe, John Glover, Jennifer B. Grace, Katie Kreisler, Stephen Kunken, Haviland Morris, Dale Place, John Procaccino, Gareth Saxe and Alan Schmuckler would be featured in the 18-member cast of its world premiere production of NIKOLAI AND THE OTHERS, a new play by Richard Nelson. The play, which was commissioned by Lincoln Center Theater, will be directed by David Cromer and will begin performances tonight, April 4 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. CINDER EDNA Opens April 26 at Stages Theatre Company

"Cinder Edna" delivers a classic story with a modern twist when it opens April 26 at Stages Theatre Company (STC) located in the Hopkins Center for the Arts. Written by Ellen Jackson, "Cinder Edna" is a clever tale that follows Cinderella and her spunky neighbor Cinder Edna. BAX to Host 2013 Artist-In-Residence Year End Performances, April-May 2013

BAX | Brooklyn Arts Exchange has announced the 2013 Artist-In-Residence Year End Performances. Featuring BAX's Artists-In-Residence (AIR), these performances culminate a shared journey through the creative process. Audience members enjoy the rare opportunity to follow a work and engage its creators from the early stages through to full productions. This journey began with the Open Studio Series in November, continued with the Works-in Progress Series in January, and culminates in these Spring performances. (more...)
