MiG AYESA will join the company of Broadway's sizzling dance sensation, Burn the Floor tonight, making his Broadway debut as the show's male vocalist. His West End credits include lead roles in We Will Rock You, Rent, Thriller, Buddy. In Australia and on tour he played leading roles in Fame, Grease, Rent, Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, West Side Story and others. His film credits include Queen of the Damned and Subterano. Derek Hough Makes Broadway Debut With BURN THE FLOOR For Performances 1/8-1/10; Show Closes January 10

Dancing with the Stars' champion Derek Hough will make his Broadway debut in 'Burn the Floor' for the shows' last performances from January 8-10, at the Longacre Theatre. Hough will partner with Kym Johnson. Hough replaces Maksim Chmerkovskiy who will dance his final performance on January 7. (more...)


Broadway's BURN THE FLOOR Extends Through January 3, 2010

The producers of Burn the Floor, announced today that that the show will extend through January 3, 2010. The Latin and ballroom spectacular had originally announced a limited 12-week run. The first new show of the Broadway season, Burn the Floor broke the box office record at the Longacre Theatre two weeks running. Anya Garnis and Pasha Kovalev of Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" joined the company on August 18. (more...)

Mary Murphy, the enthusiastic and passionate judge on "So You Think You Can Dance," made her Broadway debut on Tuesday, December 22nd when she joined the sizzling cast of Burn the Floor, including current stars Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kym Johnson of "Dancing with the Stars." Kym, who made her Broadway debut in Burn the Floor on November 27th, took home this season's coveted DWTS Mirror Ball Trophy with partner Donny Osmond. The producers of Broadway's hottest hit announced today that Mary Murphy of FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance" will make her Broadway debut for one night only on Tuesday, December 22nd at 7 PM, when she "quicksteps" into the Burn the Floor company at the Longacre Theatre. She will join the dance juggernaut that has taken Broadway by storm, breaking box office records and extending its limited engagement. The show, originally announced for a 12 week engagement, has been extended through January 3 2010. Mary Murphy will be partnered with ballroom champion Vaidas Skimelis. (more...)

Burn the Floor was the first Broadway show of the new season and opened August, going on to break box office records at the Longacre Theatre. Initially scheduled for a 12 week run, the show has just announced its third and final extension through February 24 2010 before embarking on Australian, Asian and U.S. tours. The producers of Burn the Floor announced today that Mary Murphy of FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance" will now perform in Broadway's sizzling dance show from December 22nd through January 10th, joining current stars Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kym Johnson of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" on stage for the holidays. Burn the Floor will now end its Broadway engagement on January 10th. The show had previously announced that its final performance would be on February 14th. (more...)

DWTS Champ Kym Johnson Joins BURN THE FLOOR this Week, 11/27

The producers of Broadway's dance sensation, Burn the Floor, announced today that Dancing with the Stars' pro Kym Johnson will close out her banner Thanksgiving week by making her Broadway debut in Burn the Floor, at The Longacre Theatre. Earlier this week, she took home the mirror ball trophy with Donny Osmond on the hit dance competition series. Her first performance will be Friday November 27 at 2 PM. She will be partnered with DWTS' Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who made his Broadway debut in the show this summer. (more...)

BURN THE FLOOR Gets Final Extension Thru 2/14; Features Guest Stars Mary Murphy, Edyta Sliwinska & Alec Mazo

The producers of Broadway's dance sensation, Burn the Floor, announced today that three new guest stars will join the company for the show's final extension on Broadway prior to an Australian, Asian and U.S. tour. On January 12, Mary Murphy of "So You Think You Can Dance," and Edyta Sliwinska and Alec Mazo of "Dancing with the Stars" will become part of Burn the Floor's electrifying cast. The Broadway engagement will close on February 14, 2010. The show opens in Melbourne Australia the following week. Cities and dates for the U.S. tour will be announced shortly. (more...)
