According to Deadline, the legendary comedic actor's new series THE COMEDIANS from Matt Nix (BURN NOTICE) and Larry Charles (CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM), has been picked up by FX, and promptly given a series order. PIPPIN's Orion Griffiths Crowned 2013 BROADWAY BEAUTY PAGEANT Winner

The contestants for the seventh annual Broadway Beauty Pageant included Callan Bergmann (Silence! The Musical), Julius C. Carter (SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark), Yurel Echezarreta (Matilda), Matthew Goodrich (The Nance), Orion Griffiths (Pippin), and Paul HeeSang Miller (Mamma Mia!). Four-time Tony nominated and Drama Desk Award-winning actress Tovah Feldshuh hosted the event which took place on May 20th at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts (566 LaGuardia Place). Orion Griffiths took the crown at the event, which raised more than $50,000 for the Ali Forney Center. (more...)

Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch to Return to Bemelmans at The Carlyle Hotel, 6/9

Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch return to Bemelmans at The Carlyle Hotel with their evening of swinging standards on Sunday, June 9, then running every Sunday in June, from 9pm - 12 midnight. The two performers, who have performed extensively on their own, gained national exposure together as the host and musical director of the wildly popular open mic, Cast Party, which celebrates talent every Monday at Birdland in NYC, and tours nationally. During their November run at Bemelmans, the duo received critical acclaim, and made news when rock legend Bono joined them in an impromptu performance. In their upcoming Carlyle run, Caruso and Stritch will be joined by bassist Steve Doyle. (more...)

Renowned philanthropist, Microsoft co-founder, and music veteran Paul Allen and his hard-working band the Underthinkers have completed their first album and major label debut, Paul Allen and The Underthinkers' Everywhere At Once. The all-star, 13-song program of blues-based guitar rock nuggets, featuring contributions from guests Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, Chrissie Hynde, Joe Walsh, Derek Trucks, Doyle Bramhall II, David Hidalgo of Los Lobos, Ivan Neville, and others will be available everywhere August 6, 2013 through Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment.Proceeds from sales of the album will go to fund educational programs at the charitable organization EMP Museum.
