Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) presents Broadway Encore tonight, May 4 at 6 p.m. at the Putnam Club, Gillette Stadium in Foxboro. FPAC's Gala fundraiser features Broadway headliners Sara Jean Ford, Tyrick Wiltez Jones and NaTasha Yvette Williams in an exclusive one-night-only show that brings the magic of 42nd Street to Boston's MetroWest suburbs. The evening also features silent and live auctions, performances by Electric Youth and the Franklin Performing Arts Company, special guests and dancing until midnight with Boston's popular R&B band, Soul Kitchen. ONE NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN Begins at Milwaukee Rep Tonight

With a voice like whiskey and a laugh like pure joy, Janis Joplin took the music scene by storm. Simultaneously rough and vulnerable, Joplin was dubbed the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll, proving music wasn't just a man's world anymore. Now, in a new musical event featuring more than a dozen singers and band members, playwright-director Randy Johnson creates 'a compelling portrait of an artist' (Culturemob) through the words, inspiration and music of one of America's greatest rock 'n' roll originals. One Night With Janis Joplin is a full-on concert experience and musical journey into the life and inspirations of one of rock 'n' roll's greatest legends and it runs in The Rep's Quadracci Powerhouse from tonight, May 3 - June 2, 2013 and opens on Monday, May 6, 2013. Packed with classic songs ('Piece Of My Heart,' 'Summertime,' 'Mercedes Benz'), One Night With Janis Joplin also shines the spotlight on trailblazers who influenced Janis - like Bessie Smith, Etta James and Aretha Franklin. CATS Returns to the Dutch Apple Stage, 5/16

Andrew Lloyd Webber's fantastical musical CATS, opens at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre on May 16 and will run through June 29. One of the most successful musicals the world has ever seen, CATS currently holds the record for the longest running show in the history of both Broadway theatre and British theatre. Michael Weber, Artistic Director of Porchlight Music Theatre, announced casting for Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill, February 2 - March 10, 2013 and Pal Joey, April 20 - May 26, 2013, both at Stage 773, 1225 W Belmont and the naming of new Artistic Associates and members to the Advisory Board. Alexis J. Rogers will play "Billie Holiday" in Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill, by Lanie Robertson to be directed by Porchlight Artistic Associate Rob Lindley. (more...)

Richard Eyre returns to the Almeida Theatre to adapt and direct Ibsen's Ghosts. Ghosts will run from 26 September - 23 November 2013, with Press Night on 3 October. Olivier Winner Tim Flavin to Star in WAG! THE MUSICAL in the West End, July 18-Aug 24

Peter Frosdick Productions and Paul Nicholas present the West End premiere of WAG! The Musical, with Book by Belvedere Pashun and Music & Lyrics by Grant Martin, Thomas Giron-Towers and Tony Bayliss. The show will star Olivier Award-winner Tim Flavin and will feature a special guest apperance by Ariadne the Greek Wag. WAG!
