Baldwin, Fleming Honored at Actors Fund Gala May 5

On Monday, May 5th, The Actors Fund will host its 2008 Annual Gala which will honor four individuals whose combined careers represent the diversity and range of the entertainment industry: acclaimed actor Alec Baldwin will be receiving the Nedda Harrigan Logan Award; international opera sensation Renée Fleming will be receiving the Lee Strasberg Artistic Achievement Award; and Tony Award-winning Broadway producers and theater owners Stewart F. The New York City Gay Men's Chorus (NYCGMC) will hold their 2008 benefit gala, 'With a Song in Our Heart,' on Monday, April 14 from 6-9:30PM at the elegant Warwick Hotel. Scott Nevins will lead the evening with his signature humor and flare. With entertainment by Broadway notables including Ann Hampton Callaway, Liz McCartney and the Tony-nominated Sharon McNight, the gala will be a night celebrating music, diversity and support for the LGBT community. Howard McGillin, Broadway's longest-running Phantom, will star in 'The Broadway Musicals of 1947,' which kicks off the eighth season of The Town Hall's critically acclaimed Broadway by the Year series. He will be joined by a powerhouse cast that includes two-time Tony nominee Marc Kudisch, and more of Broadway's great singer/dancers than in any other previous Broadway by the Year concert. Audiences will take a musical journey 'back in time' on Monday, March 3 at 8PM, for a full evening of song and dance from Brigadoon, Finian's Rainbow, High Button Shoes, Street Scene, Allegro and more from The Great White Way of 1947.
