Student Blog: Tips and Tricks: How to be Organized and Efficient
by Student Blogger: Vita Augugliaro - Apr 1, 2024

Transitioning from Highschool to College is more difficult than it seems as the process of the whole thing is two entirely different scenarios. This means that managing courses and theater hand in hand have to change based on what you do. For me, I am a Musical Theatre major. Although this can actually help in some ways, there’s still a whole lot of work to be done that can conflict with my own responsibilities and theater in general.

Review: THE BOOK OF WILL at Big Idea Theatre
by Courtney Symes - Mar 24, 2024

John Heminges and Henry Condell aren’t names that are immediately recognizable, but they should be. Without them, some of our favorite titles would be lost to history. A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, and Hamlet wouldn’t exist today. No one would know the name William Shakespeare. One of America’s most produced playwrights, Lauren Gunderson, has brought their story to the stage with a fascinating glimpse into 17th century England. The Book of Will is partially a history lesson and wholly entertaining, and Big Idea Theatre has brought together solid local talent to immerse us in the world of the King’s Men.

Review: DEAR BRUTUS at MainStage Irving-Los Colinas
by Sam Lisman - Mar 21, 2024

Review: POTUS: OR, BEHIND EVERY GREAT DUMBASS ARE SEVEN WOMEN TRYING TO KEEP HIM ALIVE at Stage West Theatre
by Sam Lisman - Mar 21, 2024

A truly funny - but very off-color - satire of American government and those we let run it. The purpose of a review should be to tell you what the play is about (without spoiling too much) and whether it’s worth your valuable time and money.

Guest Blog: 'It Burnt Itself Into My Memory': Director Laurence Boswell on Dostoevsky and THE DREAM OF A RIDICULOUS MAN
by Guest Author - Mar 19, 2024

Dostoevsky has always been my favourite novelist – he is the chronicler of the troubled mind. I first read The Dream of a Ridiculous Man when I was at university. It burnt itself into my memory. As I was on a walk during lockdown it came back to me – I reread it and it felt like it might have something to say to us – a tale of an individual in crisis in difficult times, and the pandemic felt difficult.
