BWW Interviews: Pleasure Guild's PETER PAN - A Delight for Children and Anyone Who 'Won't Grow Up'

Central Ohio's Pleasure Guild will present its 56th annual musical production, 'Peter Pan' at The Palace Theater this weekend, March 8-10th. A benefit for Nationwide Children's Hospital's pediatric hospice and palliative care program, the proceeds from the show (last year totaling almost a half-million dollars!) are directly donated, as well as the cast and crew's generous donations of their time. Broadway Series South and Casa Manana's STORYBOOK THEATER Heads to Raleigh, Beginning Today

Broadway Series South in collaboration with Casa Mañana of Fort Worth, TX announced today an exciting new theatre series, Storybook Theater. The four shows feature a professional cast of Equity actors in shows staged specifically for children and families. Proceeds from Storybook Theater benefit Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The 2013 inaugural season showcases four popular children's tales; beginning in March with Rapunzel! A Very Hairy Fairy Tale; and continuing throughout the year with Disney's Winnie the Pooh, Kids; Dora the Explorer, Live! Dora's Pirate Adventure; and Frosty the Snowman. (more...)

The Ruckus Theater and Tympanic Theatre Company to Present BREWED, Opening 3/2

The Ruckus Theater and Tympanic Theatre Company have announced their upcoming world premiere co-production of Brewed. Developed over the course of 8 years through a series of workshops, the script of Brewed is written by Scott T. Barsotti and directed by Anna C. Bahow. The cast of seven women is a motley crew of Ruckus and Tympanic regulars and Chicago theater favorites. Brewed is performed at Theater Wit (1229 W. Belmont) March 2-24, 2013. Thursday-Saturday performances are at 8:00pm; Sunday performances are at 7:00pm. Preview is on Friday, March 1 and tickets are $12. Press opening is on Monday, March 4, 2013. General tickets are $17.
