Tarzan Lord of the Jungle Progressive Pays $282,527 Jackpot at Red Hawk Casino

Red Hawk Casino, home to some of the luckiest and loosest penny slots, was thrilled to pay out a Tarzan progressive slot jackpot of $282,527 to Pamela from Carmichael, Calif. today. Pamela is a regular visitor at Red Hawk. She comes into the casino a few times each week to play penny slots. She sat down to one of her favorites, the Tarzan Lord of The Jungle penny progressive slot and had pushed the Max Bet button just once to reveal three Wheel Bonus symbols. Pamela then spun the Wheel Bonus and was overjoyed to see it land on the Grand progressive for a $282,527 payout. Pamela says she always plays Max Bet and said, 'It's the only way to win the progressive.' When asked what she planned to do with her winnings Pamela said, 'I'm going to buy a house and pay off my son's car.' (more...)

Hyde Park International Acquires International Rights to LEGENDS OF OZ: DOROTHY'S RETURN

Ashok Amritraj's Hyde Park International (HPI) announced today that the company has picked-up international rights to directors Will Finn and Daniel St. Pierre's 3D animated family adventure film LEGENDS OF OZ: DOROTHY'S RETURN starring Lea Michele, Martin Short, Dan Aykroyd, Jim Belushi and Kelsey Grammer. The film is from a script by Adam Balsam and Randi Barnes, based on the series of books by Roger Stanton Baum. Bonne Radford is producing alongside Ryan Carroll and Roland Carroll of Summertime Entertainment. (more...)

Billy Crudup and Shuler Hensley Join Cast of NO MAN'S LAND and WAITING FOR GODOT

Tony Award winners Billy Crudup and Shuler Hensley will join Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart in the limited season repertoire of Harold Pinter's No Man's Land and Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, directed by Sean Mathias, on Broadway at the Cort Theatre, 138 West 48th Street, this fall. Performances will begin Saturday, October 26 at 8pm. The official opening is Sunday, November 24, 2013. This limited season will run for 14 weeks only. (more...)

Viva Atlantis Theatricals Inc., whose recent maiden production was Terrence McNally and David Yazbek's Broadway musical 'The Full Monty,' officially presented to the media earlier today Broadway star Dan Domenech ('Rock of Ages,' 'Glee') and pop star Rachelle Ann Go ('Disney's The Little Mermaid,' 'Party Pilipinas'), who will play the roles of Tarzan and Jane, respectively, in the Asian premiere of Phil Collins and David Henry Hwang's Broadway musical 'Disney's Tarzan.' Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST to Make French-Language Debut in Paris, October 2013

Today in 2006, Tarzan opened at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, where it ran for 486 performances. Tarzan: The Musical is based on the Disney film of the same name and the story by Edgar Rice Burroughs. The songs are written by Phil Collins and David Zippel, with a book by David Henry Hwang. The production was nominated for a Tony award for Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Natasha Katz).
