David Mirvish is delighted to present a total of eight shows in the new 2008/2009 Mirvish Theatre Season. Six of the shows - five acclaimed musicals and one classic drama - will be available in a subscripton package. Two bonus shows, both musicals, round out the season.

Andrew Lloyd Webber and David Ian's smash-hit new London production of The Sound of Music will make its North American premiere beginning September 2008 at The Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto. Role of 'Maria' to be cast by Canadian TV public audiences.

Simon Burke will star as 'Captain Von Trapp' in The Sound of Music at the London Palladium from 24 September, joining Connie Fisher, who stars as 'Maria' for six performances a week, with Aoife Mulholland playing the role on Monday evenings and Wednesday matinees

The lavish, new production of Rodger's & Hammerstein's The King & I, starring Sandy Duncan and directed by Baayork Lee, will grace the stage of Boston's Wang Theatre for one week only, when it opens on Tuesday, October 12 and plays through Sunday, October 17, 2004.
