Fashion Photo of the Day 5/9/13 - Kate Beckinsaleby Rachel Stone - May 9, 2013Once again I am in awe of any celeb that manages to create a great ensemble while battling security lines and shlepping luggage. Today's airport fashionista is the beautiful Kate Beckinsale. I am not lying when I say I never look this put together when traveling. I always think I have put together the perfect comfy yet not sloppy but still effortless look and I still manage to look so blah. Plus, when I get off a plane, forget it, I look tired and bloated but dry at the same time. (more...)

BWW Reviews: Bayou City Concert Musicals' ALONE TOGETHER: THE MUSIC OF ARTHUR SCHWARTZ is a Magically Enchanting Cabaretby David Clarke - May 8, 2013Paul Hope's Bayou City Concert Musicals (BCCM) is proudly continuing their mission of bringing to Houston the best of the best from show business' yesteryears. Sometimes it is in the form of a forgotten or neglected musical, like their concert stagings of ONE TOUCH OF VENUS, THE SECRET GARDEN, and FINNAN'S RAINBOW. At other events, Paul Hope stages a cabaret of a composer's hits and erstwhile gems. Last Monday, BCCM premiered their cabaret entitled ALONE TOGETHER: THE SONGS OF ARTHUR SCHWARTZ. Arthur Schwartz composed for the Broadway productions THE BAND WAGON, A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN, and others. He was also a celebrated Hollywood composer, writing music for THANK YOUR LUCKY STARS, the film adaptation of THE BAND WAGON, and others. (more...)

Fashion Photo of the Day 5/12/13 - Victoria Justiceby Rachel Stone - May 12, 2013I feel like Michael Kors on Project Runway when I say, I just want to take a pair of scissors and cut that tail off Victoria Justice's dress!! I like the whole high/low hemline but on the right thing. I personally think it works far better on a more flowing fabric and on a maxi length. This is way too severe of a difference in the lengths and makes it look like Guess couldn't decide. My advice? Cut off the tail! (more...)
Fashion Photo of the Day 5/11/13 - Lake Bellby Rachel Stone - May 11, 2013Lake Bell is like a perfect canvas for just about anything. She's tall and beautiful with a killer figure. Why she is not on the cover of every magazine from Self to Vogue is beyond me. But that's a topic for another time. Let's just say, if I could wake up and have anyone's body, it would probably be Lake Bell's. Bell looked as effortlessly beautiful as ever at the LA premiere of Black Rock this week wearing a gold lace dress by Lyn Devon. I love this look but there are just a few styling tweaks I would like to suggest. (more...)

Fashion Photo of the Day 5/10/13 - Kate Bosworthby Rachel Stone - May 10, 2013Sometimes I forget that Kate Bosworth is an actress. Not because she isn't talented or doesn't work or is on the news all the time for questionable behavior. It's because she is just so beautiful and perfectly dressed at all times that I mistake her for a model or an Olivia Palermo type, who's job is to be stylish and fashion forward so that others can see how it's done. Maybe Palermo and Bosworth and Diane Kruger can join forces and become like fashion's Charlie's Angels and save women from making tragic fashion mistakes. Too much? Fine, maybe in my dream world.
