Putting it Together is a musical revue showcasing the songs of Stephen Sondheim. Drawing its title from a song in Sunday in the Park with George, it was devised by Sondheim and Julia McKenzie. The revue has received several productions, beginning with its premiere in England in 1992, Broadway in 1999 and the West End in 2014.

Hopesfall Announce Upcoming New York Summer Shows

 Melodic hardcore legends Hopesfall have announced that they will be playing two special shows this July around the release of their new record, Arbiter. The band will take the stage for the first time since 2011 for Kerrang Presents on July 14th at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn, and on July 21st at Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte. General admission tickets go on-sale this Friday, April 20th, with VIP tickets available now at hopesfall.soundrink.com.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater welcomes back Ireland's Druid theatre company-"one of the world's greatest acting ensembles" (The Guardian)-with its critically acclaimed production of Samuel Beckett's masterpiece, Waiting for Godot. Actor Alex Skuby, Husband to Mo Collins, Adds His Two Cents Regarding DAMAGED FURNITURE

Actor Alex Skuby was born in Neptune, New Jersey. He moved to Chicago in 1992 and was cast in various plays with several different theater companies. In 1998 Alex moved to LA and has been in television series, films and voice-overs. Some of his credits: 'Santa Clarita Diet,' 'Bones,' 'Last Man Standing.' 'CSI,' CBS's hit sitcom 'The King of Queens' (5 seasons recurring as 'Mr. Pruzan'), recently recurring on Freeform's drama series 'The Fosters' as Detective Joe Gray. We caught up with him in rehearsal for the new play Damaged Furniture opening Saturday March 24 and running Saturdays only at the Whitefire Theatre.

The Old Globe's 2017-2018 Season continues with today's announcement of the complete cast and creative team for the Globe-commissioned world premiere of Anna Ziegler's new American play The Wanderers, directed by Barry Edelstein, the Globe's Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director. The Wanderers will run April 6 - May 6, 2018 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets start at $30.00 and are on sale to the general public now. Previews run April 6-12. Opening night is Friday, April 13 at 8:00 p.m.

Dearborn Street. Merrily We Roll Along is based on the play by the same name written by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. The performance schedule is Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. (March 4 and March 11) and 6 p.m. (February 4, February 11, February 18 and February 25) with a weekday matinee Thursday, March 8 at 1:30 p.m. There is no 4 p.m. performance Saturday, Feb. 3 and no 7:30 p.m. performance on Thursday, March 8. Adrienne Willis, Executive and Artistic Director of LUMBERYARD Contemporary Performing Arts, today announced the third edition of the organization's acclaimed LUMBERYARD In The City Winter Festival, which takes place from January 25 February 10 at New York Live Arts in New York City. The 2018 Winter Festival will feature genre-blurring productions from three daring and highly accomplished artists, including choreographer Kei Takei and her company Moving Earth Orient Sphere who will present the New York premiere of LIGHT, Part 44 (Bamboo Forest) (??) and Solo from LIGHT, Part 8 (January 25-27); playwright and performance artist Robbie McCauley, who presents the New York premiere of Sugar (February 1-3); and choreographer, dancer and visual artist Dana Reitz, who will present her new world premiere work (February 8-10).

Highlights of the month include multi-night runs from Jazz vocalist (and Chicago transplant) Lizz Wright (Nov. 1-2), Herb Alpert of Tijuana Brass with his wife, Grammy-winning singer Lani Hall, (Nov. 6-7), and four shows over two days with saxophonist Kurt Elling (Nov. 25-26) plus a benefit for Merit School of Music with Nico Segal (previously known as Donnie Trumpet from the Chance the Rapper-affiliated band, The Social Experiment) and The JuJu Exchange (Nov. 28) and much more.
