Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park Presents HIGH

The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will open its 2010-2011 season with Matthew Lombardo's HIGH, starring movie and stage actress Kathleen Turner. After its Cincinnati run, HIGH will move to Broadway early in 2011. This powerful and gripping adult drama begins previews in the Playhouse's Robert S. Joan Allen Joins Cast of HBO's LUCK

According to Deadline.com, Joan Allen is set to make her TV debut HBO's new series, Luck. The stage and screen star will join previously announced Dustin Hoffman in the series. Allen will star as a woman in charge of a program, in which inmates care for injured racehorses. Additional cast members include: Kerry Condon, Ritchie Coster, Kevin Dunn, Dennis Farina, Jason Gedrick, Ian Hart, Jill Hennessy, Richard Kind, Nick Nolte, John Ortiz, Tom Payne and Gary Stevens. Kathleen Turner and Matthew Rhys will reprise the roles they created (as Mrs. Robinson and Benjamin Braddock) in the original West End production when L.A. Theatre Works records Terry Johnson's hit stage adaptation of The Graduate for radio. Also in the cast are Bruce Davison (Mr. Braddock), John Getz (Mr. Robinson), Lucy Punch (Elaine), Linda Purl (Mrs. Braddock) and Tom Virtue (multiple roles). John Rubinstein will direct five performances, December 8-12, at the Skirball Cultural Center. L.A. Theatre Works' nationally syndicated radio theater series airs locally in Southern California on KPCC 89.3 every Saturday from 10 pm - midnight and can be streamed on demand at www.latw.org. BWW Interviews: Sergio Trujillo - Broadway's Quadruple Threat Talks JERSEY BOYS, 'NORMAL,' WHITE NOISE

Given the odds, for one to have been involved with a singular Broadway success would be impressive. To have been involved with two would solidify one's status as a true Broadway 'player.' How about 4, running at the same time? Only two artists have been able to boast such an accomplishment, the first being Susan Stroman, whose productions of Contact, The Producers, The Music Man, and Thou Shalt Not all ran simultaneously for a short time in 2001. Last season, Broadway's go-to choreographer, Sergio Trujillo, joined her company with his superfecta of Next to Normal, Jersey Boys, The Addams Family and Memphis. It appears that like Jersey Boys, Memphis, and The Addams Family, Trujillo is showing no signs of breaking his streak, or going anywhere, with new projects in the pipeline incoming. (more...)

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) presents Matthew Lombardo's High, starring movie and stage actress Kathleen Turner and directed by Rob Ruggiero. This riveting and powerful production will be performed on the Browning Mainstage of the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts, 130 Edgar Road (on the campus of Webster University), Webster Groves, October 13 through November 7, 2010.
