The world-premiere musical production of Bonnie & Clyde at La Jolla Playhouse features Laura Osnes as Bonnie, Tony-nominee Stark Sands whose run of Twelfth Night ends this weekend, as Clyde and the Academy Award-nominated (Georgia) and Emmy-winning (Amber Waves,George Wallace) Mare Winningham as Bonnie's mother. Also set for the cast are Melissa Van Der Schyff as Bonnie's sister-in-law (BIG RIVER, PIPPIN), and Chris Peluso as Deputy Ted Hinton (MAMMA MIA!). Additional casting news is expected shortly. In the course of this evening's performance, the following physical objects will appear onstage: a boxing bag, four golf clubs, a newspaper, two small targets, an oversized golf ball plus snake, a bloody towel, a duck mask, a white spider with spots, a watering can, three boulders wrapped in twine, a yellow suit, two imitation row boats, one tray of fruit, one rolling table, six highball glasses, two white pillows, one large roll of plastic tape, a jeweled wristwatch, one package, gift-wrapped, one jeweled container, plus one blank container, three mirrors with numbers painted on the reverse side, two bows and arrows, one duck in a small cage, one stuffed small mouth plug.

Main Street Theater's Autumn Follies Gala was held Friday, October 9 at Main Street Theater - Chelsea Market, 4617 Montrose Blvd. This year's celebrity-studded, one-night-only benefit performance was the original musical send-up Montrose Mia!, with cameo appearances by local celebrities including Harris County Judge Ed Emmett, local actor and former television news anchor Bob Boudreaux, Houston Woman Magazine's Beverly Denver, the Houston Downtown Alliance's Heather Pray, Ernie Manouse, Host of PBS' InnerVIEWS with Ernie Manouse, Momentum Audi/ Volkswagen General Manager Jared Lang, HoustonPBS' Doug Mueller, and artist Wendy Wagner. The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center will present the World Premiere of Wonderland: Alice's New Musical Adventure. The production will debut in Tampa on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 in TBPAC's Ferguson Hall, the music for Wonderland is by Frank Wildhorn, the composer of The Civil War and Jekyll & Hyde, with book and lyrics by Jack Murphy.
