HANDS ON A HARDBODY Cast Album Gets 7/9 Digital Releaseby Stage Tube - Jun 13, 2013Ghostlights Records has just announced that the Original Broadway Cast Recording of HANDS ON A HARDBODY will be released for digital download on July 9, 2013 and the CD will arrive in stores on August 13. The show was nominated for three 2013 Tony Awards, including "Best Original Score." The album features a cut song from the show called "The Tryers" as a special bonus track. The special one-night benefit entitled ' Unite' with join forces with American Idol and Billboard recording artistic Kimberley Locke, Broadway powerhouse Eden Espinosa (star of Wicked, Rent, Brooklyn The Musical), American Idol and Rent star Anwar Robinson and over 20 members of the Broadway community. The concert will benefit the Hetrick-Martin Institute and Broadway Sings for Pride. There will also be special speakers including a message of hope from Steven Guy and James Clementi of the Tyler Clementi Foundation. The night will be hosted by award winning host from the hit show 'truTV Presents: the World's Dumbest' Scott Nevins with staging by Rachele Rommes (Minnesota Timberwolves choreographer). Tituss Burgess, Maude Maggart & More Join NIGHT OF A THOUSAND JUDYS, 6/17by BWW News Desk - Jun 11, 2013The third annual "Night of A Thousand Judys" - presented by The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre - has added Maude Maggart (Entertainment Weekly's "Must List"), Tituss Burgess ("30 Rock," Jersey Boys), Rachel Shukert (Starstruck), John Early ("30 Rock") and Becca Blackwell (Untitled Feminist Show) to the lineup of talent for the show on Monday, June 17. The Pride concert to benefit The Ali Forney Center will take place at Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Center (129 West 67th Street in New York). "Night of A Thousand Judys" will honor the legendary singer and actress Judy Garland with special skits, tributes and songs from her storied career. There will be a pre-show VIP reception at 6:30 PM and the show at 8:00 PM.
