Shindle Guests at Monday Nights, New Voices On March 30

The fifth season of the acclaimed Monday Nights, New Voices series Continues March 30th at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre. Legally Blonde's Kate Shindle, who will return to Birdland for her solo show, classic, March 23rd, will host the evening featuring the talents of Mathew Burrow, Natalie Elise Hall, Darius Harper, Danny McNie and Amy Toporek. The American Theatre Wing has announced its newest episode of the popular 'Working in the Theater' series: 'Crafting Worlds: Theatrical Design.' The episode features scenic designer David Gallo, sound designer John Gromada, costume designer Susan Hilferty and lighting designer Peter Kaczorowski. Kate Reinders has landed a role in the new Untitled Sherri Shepherd Pilot being filmed for Lifetime. Dave Flebotte has penned the script about a married woman who discovers her husband has been cheating on her and has an illegitimate child - only to agree to let the child and her mother move in with the family. Pittsburgh CLO Accepts Children For Musical Theater Summer Camp 2009

The Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater is currently enrolling students entering grades 1-12 who are interested in musical theater for its 2009 Summer Camps. Each fun-filled session is designed to give kids the opportunity to experience preparing for and performing on the stage. Working with a director, music director and choreographer, students will create their own exciting musical theater experience. (more...)

FINIAN'S RAINBOW To 'Shine' on Broadway at the St. James for Fall 2009, Cast and Creative Announced Shortly

Finian's Rainbow, which just ended a critically acclaimed five-performance run at New York City Center's Encores! series last weekend, will move to Broadway's St. James Theatre in the fall. Producers David Richenthal and Jack Viertel announced that the show, which hasn't been seen on Broadway since 1960 (it premiered in 1947), will be adapted from the Encores! concert presentation into a full production.
