BIG FISH, a new musical based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the 2003 Columbia Pictures film written by John August, will open Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Broadway's Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52nd Street). Directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman (Contact, The Producers, The Scottsboro Boys), with music and lyrics by Grammy and Tony Award nominee Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party, The Addams Family), a book by Grammy and BAFTA Award nominee John August (Frankenweenie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Big Fish begins previews on Broadway Thursday, September 5, 2013. Helen Hayes' 1947 Tony Award Sells at Auction for Over $37,000

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Helen Hayes' 1947 Tony Award for Best Dramatic Actress for her performance in HAPPY BIRTHDAY just sold at an auction for $37,230. Hayes' award was a silver makeup compact from Tiffany. (more...)

Broadway Actors to Teach PS 221 Students in Brooklyn, 4/13

25 Broadway performers cross the Brooklyn Bridge and travel deep into Crown Heights on Saturday, April 13 to teach 3rd, 4th, 5th graders and 6th graders at PS 221 how to sing, dance & act. It's an inspiring, new partnership between Boardman Productions and Seeds in the Middle, a 501c3 charity empowering students and schools in the obesity epidemic to get all the resources they need to get healthy.
