'From Broadway With Love: A Benefit Concert For Sandy Hook' took place yesterday, January 28, 2013, at the Palace Theater in Waterbury, Connecticut. The evening was a concert of love and healing for the Newtown community from the composers, musicians and more than 100 stars of Broadway together with over 100 students from several Newtown dance groups and the Newtown High School Chamber Choir. Tony Kushner to Receive WGAW's 2013 Paul Selvin Award for LINCOLN Screenplay

Writers Guild and Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Tony Kushner has been chosen to receive the WGAW's 2013 Paul Selvin Award for his adapted screenplay for Lincoln. Named after the late Selvin, who served as counsel to the Guild, the award is given to the WGA member whose script best embodies the spirit of the constitutional and civil rights and liberties, which are indispensable to the survival of free writers everywhere. Kushner will be recognized, along with other honorees, at the Writers Guild Awards ceremony on Sunday, February 17, at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE. (more...)

The Broadhurst Theatre box office opens tomorrow, Friday, January 25 at 10:00 AM for LUCKY GUY, starring two-time Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks, in the final work by three-time Academy Award-nominee Nora Ephron and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner George C. TCG Books Publishes LINCOLN Screenplay

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) today announced the publication of Tony Kushner's critically acclaimed screenplay for Lincoln, now a major motion picture directed by Steven Spielberg. Based in part on Pulitzer Prize-winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin's book, Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln, the published screenplay of Lincoln, available in both paperback and a limited edition hardcover, contains a Foreword by Kearns Goodwin and eight pages of color photos from the film.
