Today, Broward County is home to 5,660 arts-related businesses-reflecting an increase of 900 small entrepreneurial businesses over 2008. In total, these businesses employ almost 21,000 people-creating an additional 400 jobs in the last year-as documented by Dun and Bradstreet, the most comprehensive and trusted source for business information in the U.S.

2009 Arts Teacher Of The Year Award by Beau Higgins - May 27, 2009Susan Anderson holds a bachelor of fine arts in education/ceramics from Florida Atlantic University; is a studio art major from the School of Visual Arts in New York City; and is board certified in Early Adolescence through Young Adult Art with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. She has taught at J.P. Taravella High School for more than 15 years and has worked as a summer instructor with art programs at both the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale, Nova Southeastern University and the Boca Raton Museum of Art.
