Goodspeed Announces Cast for Murder Mystery Musical - SOMETHING'S AFOOT

This hilarious musical send-up of Agatha Christie-style stumpers will complete Goodspeed's 2012 season, running from October 5 - December 9 at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn. Vince Pesce Assumes Role of Director/Choreographer for Goodspeed's SOMETHING'S AFOOT

Due to a critical illness in her family, Casey Husion has withdrawn from directing Something's Afoot at the Goodspeed Opera House. Vince Pesce, originally choreographer of the production, will now also direct the show. During the planning process, Ms. Hushion, who conceived this production, worked closely with Mr. Pesce as she consulted with the authors, chose the creative team and cast the show. Everyone in the Goodspeed family wishes the best to Ms. Hushion and her family while we welcome Mr. Pesce as director. (more...)

Hennepin Theatre Trust Announces 56 Schools Participating in the 2012-13 SpotLight Musical Theatre Program

Hennepin Theatre Trust today announced that 56 schools will participate in the 2012-13 SpotLight Musical Theatre Program, including five new schools and nine from greater Minnesota. Now in its eighth successful year, SpotLight is the Trust's flagship education initiative which honors, supports, provides training and advocates for Minnesota high school musical theatre students and programs. A full list of participants is included at the end of this press release.
