The world-premiere musical production of Bonnie & Clyde at La Jolla Playhouse features Laura Osnes as Bonnie, Tony-nominee Stark Sands whose run of Twelfth Night ends this weekend, as Clyde and the Academy Award-nominated (Georgia) and Emmy-winning (Amber Waves,George Wallace) Mare Winningham as Bonnie's mother. Also set for the cast are Melissa Van Der Schyff as Bonnie's sister-in-law (BIG RIVER, PIPPIN), and Chris Peluso as Deputy Ted Hinton (MAMMA MIA!). Additional casting news is expected shortly. Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is proud to have Stephen Sondheim & James Lapine return to Studio 54 with Sondheim on Sondheim, a new original Broadway musical starring Barbara Cook, Vanessa Williams, Michael Arden & Leslie Kritzer. Music & lyrics are by Stephen Sondheim, conceived & directed by James Lapine. Sondheim on Sondheim will begin previews on March 19th, 2010 and open officially April 22nd, 2010 at Studio 54 on Broadway (254 West 54th Street). Jordan Roth To Succeed Rocco Landesman As President Of Jujamcyn Theaters

It was announced today that producer Jordan Roth has succeeded Rocco Landesman as President of Jujamcyn Theaters, the owner and operator of five major Broadway theatres. Roth, 33, takes over leadership of the organization which Landesman presided over from 1987 until his recent confirmation as Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts on August 7. Roth is also acquiring a 50% ownership interest in the privately held company. (more...)

Just weeks prior to the Tony Award-winning musical AVENUE Q's 6th anniversary on Broadway, one of the stars of the original cast, Ann Harada, returned to the role of "Christmas Eve" on Monday, July 6th at the John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street) in New York City. Ms. Harada -- who created the role on Broadway and played "Christmas Eve" in the London production -- was joined in the production by members of the U.S. national tour of AVENUE Q, which recently concluded a phenomenally successful two-year run: Robert McClure will assume the roles of Princeton/Rod on Broadway, along with Anika Larsen as Kate Monster/Lucy the Slut, and Danielle K.
